Visit Peles Royal Palace and Bran Castle

Bucharest – Sinaia – Bran – Brasov

We start the tour at 7:30 am, from your hotel from Bucharest. After two hours, we’ll enter on summer residence of Romanian royal family – the Peles Castle. The tour inside the main castle is about one hour and for the gardens, we need another half hour. You’ll see the first completely electrified castles in Europe. This was possible because the electricity was supplied by its own Electrical Factory on the Peles stream. From 170 rooms you’ll visit the ground floor, the most decorated of the castle. The establishment hosts one of the finest collections of art in Eastern and Central Europe, consisting of statues, paintings, furniture, arms and armor, stained glass, ivory, fine china, tapestries, and rugs. The collection of arms and armor has over 4,000 pieces.

The former residence of the royal family is located in Sinaia, on Prahova Valley, one of the most beautiful areas of Romania. That’s why our first king chooses this place for his residence.
Close to the castle, we find the first building in Sinaia, the old church of the monastery. Parts of the Sinaia Monastery, we visit both churches discovering many stories about these places and understand better the orthodox religion. The monastery is named after the Biblical Mount Sinai.

60 km forward, after crossing the Carpathian Mountains, we enter the Transylvanian land to discover the most visited museum in Romania. Known as Dracula’s Castle, here you will discover the legend of the most famous vampire in the world, based on Bram Stoker’s character. But at the same time, Bran Castle is more than that. Because Queen Maria loved this place very much, she arranged it as a royal residence. You’ll discover a medieval castle where our second queen lived.

The day will end in the old center of Brasov, visiting the Council Square, the Black Church, the Rope Street, the Black Tower, and the White Tower.
During the day we’ll have time for lunch (not included in the price of the tour) in a traditional restaurant to enjoy Romanian food and taste palinca – Romanian brandy.
